Christians with Mental Illness

Christians with mental illness have added struggles that they contend with. God wants us to be happy, so it is difficult to understand why some have been plagued with an illness that robs them of joy and peace. They have difficulty giving their problems to God, as the Bible says. They may struggle with guilt for not feeling happy, especially when they know God has blessed them in many ways. Some may question their faith.  It can be hard not to feel abandoned. Some may feel jealous of other Christians. It can be difficult to watch others go through life with the peaceful happiness that they had been promised. There are some people that may question why God even allows such debilitating illnesses into this world. Some may even feel angry that God won’t take their suffering away. This category focuses on the unique struggles Christians with mental illness face.
